SUMMARY

Estonians are more likely than the citizens of any other country surveyed to say that their country is
on the right track (59%).

Estonians are also more concerned about Russian aggression, disinformation and threats than citizens in other countries and most supportive of sanctions – even if sanctions harm Estonia’s economy. (Note: Finnish results are comparable to Estonia on most questions.)

Other country highlights include:
• 83% think Russia’s reasons for waging war against Ukraine are not legitimate.
• 82% agree (61% strongly) that Russian disinformation must be stopped — the highest percentage
of agree and strongly agree of any country surveyed.
• 82% agree (48% strongly) that Russia’s attack on Ukraine demonstrates the necessity of a strong,
common European Union defense policy. By comparison 82% of Romanians (55% strongly), 76%
of Poles (50% strongly) and 76% of Finns (40% strongly) agree with this statement.
• 78% agree (43% strongly) that Russian aggression is a threat to Estonia’s sovereignty – the
highest percentage of agree and strongly agree of any country surveyed.
